Become a Licenced Centre for the Resilience for Life Challenge
Your Role as a Centre
The key role of the Resilience for Life Centre is to provide light-touch supervision to the children enrolled on the programme. The resources are designed to foster self-directed learning at home and at the Centre. Adults at the Centre monitor the child’s progress and offer guidance along the way to support the child in achieving the key targets listed in the Tracker Sheet below.
Here’s How it Works
- Become a Resilience for Life Centre and get your licence and starter pack: £50 one-off set up fee.
- Purchase initial pack of journals: £15 each (min pack of 5) £75.
- Download information for parents and promote the Resilience for Life Programme via the school with fliers, social media, email etc.
- Enrol each child on the programme and issue them with their Journal/Elearning/Workbook. This allows them to access the online learning from home as well as at the centre.
- Provide guidance for them to complete the online journal, e-learning modules and work book. This is largely self-directed learning and is carried out both at the centre and at home.
- Use the tracker sheet in the starter pack to monitor progress and Issue certificates to the child as they reach key milestones.
- Order more Journal/Elearning/Workbooks as you enrol more children on to the programme.
Note: You can enrol individual children or groups on to the programme at any time. This is a 5 week programme but there is flexibility in the delivery.

FAQs
FAQs
How many children can I enrol?
The programme can be tailored to fit in with the way the Centre operates and the number of children catered for. Ideally, a cohort of at least 5 children will enrol on the programme at any one time. This makes it easier to supervise and monitor. However, the programme can be delivered to individual children on a rolling enrolment/ad hoc basis.
We don’t have IT or printing facilities.
IT or printing facilities are not necessary for the programme. The online course can be completed at home or at a library. If the Centre has no means of printing the workbook or certificates, these can be purchased from Embrace as and when they are needed.
How much should I charge parents?
The fee parents pay is entirely at your discretion. We suggest a weekly fee of £14 but this may vary according to circumstances.
